Rather than doing plain cheese on toast, make that quick, easy meal feel a bit special (but just as quick and easy) by replacing your cheddar and sliced white with brie and brioche. Paul Hollywood’s “decadent bake” used these flavours along with prosciutto ham to make what is essentially a (very lovely looking, and no doubt delicious) cheese and ham toasty.
If you don’t have an hour to make your own “decadent bake” take out a toasty machine/ hot frying pan, and simply melt your sliced brie between two slices of Brioche. the toasting really brings out the subtle sweetness and crisp texture of the brioche which goes so well with the creamy, oozy Brie.
